“Coloreando al maestro Enrique Breccia para la Miracon”
Tuve la oportunidad de colorear la obra de Enrique Breccia para el evento de comics “Miracon“, supe que era un desafío y un privilegio. Breccia, con su trazo inconfundible y su dominio del blanco y negro, crea imágenes que tienen un peso propio, casi como si contaran historias en cada línea. Mi tarea fue darles vida a través del color sin alterar la fuerza de su composición.
El proceso comenzó con el estudio de los valores originales: cada sombra, cada trazo tenía que respetarse para no perder la intención del maestro. A partir de ahí, fui agregando capas de color digital, buscando una armonía que potenciara la atmósfera de la ilustración sin opacar su esencia.
Este trabajo encabezó la publicidad del Miracon 2025, un evento donde la pasión por la ilustración y la narrativa gráfica se encuentra con grandes artistas y entusiastas del medio. Poder formar parte de esta experiencia, llevando mi visión al arte de un referente como Breccia, fue algo que recordaré siempre.
Como en todo buen dibujo, aquí también hay un misterio: el color no solo llena los espacios, sino que sugiere nuevos matices en la historia que la imagen evoca. ¿Qué cambia en la percepción de una obra cuando se viste de color? Quizás la respuesta está en la mirada de quien la contempla.

I had the opportunity to color Enrique Breccia’s artwork for the Miracon comic event, and I knew it was both a challenge and a privilege. Breccia, with his unmistakable stroke and mastery of black and white, creates images that carry their own weight, almost as if they tell stories in every line. My task was to bring them to life through color without altering the strength of his composition.
The process began with studying the original values: every shadow, every stroke had to be respected to preserve the master’s intent. From there, I gradually added layers of digital color, seeking a harmony that would enhance the illustration’s atmosphere without overshadowing its essence.
This work led the promotional visuals for Miracon 2025, an event where passion for illustration and visual storytelling brings together great artists and enthusiasts of the medium. Being part of this experience, contributing my vision to the art of a master like Breccia, is something I will always cherish.
As with every great illustration, there is a mystery here as well: color does not merely fill spaces; it suggests new shades in the story the image conveys. What changes in the perception of a piece when it is dressed in color? Perhaps the answer lies in the eyes of the beholder.
